G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

I suppose it is about talking to rocks and listening to shadows, reflecting on the past and reminding myself that there’s more to come “until eyes hear sound”
😍😊🌏🎶📖
Such a powerful good and wise message in your poem! Silence truly can be golden…calming and healing…I, even, find the quiet time spent with rocks and shadows to be comforting.
A perfect trio of your poem with your photos and that Vance Joy’s song!
I feel nostalgia, hope, reflection and possibilities of new beginnings in that song…let go of the past, accept changes, while still cherishing the memories.
(((HUGS))) for you and Frankie!! Also, please give Frankie some gentle pats from me. Thank you! ❤️❤️❤️
Frankie is getting his pats right now, he’s on my bed beside the writing computer desk… he’s had his cheese 🧀 and now pats … it’s a dog’s life … and yes, my poem is a minimalistic verse about enjoying the quietness/silence of own private space … for me it’s probably my courtyard and our walking track 😍😊🌏🎶💕🐶📖
Interesting!

I suppose it is! Sometimes only the poet can translate his own poems. To me, it rocks! 🥰

Yes, talking to rocks and listening to shadows, and accepting the wisdom of reassuring silence, VJ
