G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Ah, my photos are the reflections of sky in the shallow puddles on the concrete: those white dots are pebbles on the path but I could see the twilight moon quite clearly … it was fascinating to see and I was glad the pic’s turned out ok
That is amazing, dear Ivor, to think of taking photos of the moon reflected in puddles; it makes for a panorama worthy of a planetarium! It would be incredible to see a sky bursting with such a bounty of stars. Frankie’s looking especially dapper today! 🤎🐶✫✫✫☽✫✫✫🌏💛
to see the world in a, grain of sand, every tiny thing we encounter in nature, is a microcosm of the entire, universe, we only need to open up our minds, to experience it, fully.
What gorgeous photos, Ivor! Amazing captures! 🙂
Nature reflecting nature and you shared it so beautifully in your poem! 🙂 Water IS natures mirror! 🙂
I always enjoy Mr. Fogerty songs. 🙂
(((HUGS))) and ❤️❤️❤️ for you and Frankie!!
I just happened to be in the right spot at the right time, Carolyn … moon reflections in a puddle was a first for me and I was ecstatic that my photos turned out ok … so I had to celebrate with CCR’s wonderful song 🎶 “Long As I Can See The Light” 🎶😍😊🌏🐶🌌
Lovely poem and song, Ivor! Hi Frankie!

Ivor, are those starry photos enhanced or is that what the sky looks like down by you?
