G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Seeing Frankie battling the cold winds and you bundled up in your hat and heavy winter jacket is mind-blowing to me. ๐คฏ It is 9:50PM and we are still at 86ยบF; a heavy rain storm with thunder and lightning is raging and we’re praying we don’t lose our power. No power = no AC, no fridge. ๐ฅตโ๏ธโก๏ธ๐๐ค๐ถ๐๐จโ๏ธ๐ฅถ
Thank you for a beautiful verse, great pix and a cool song. ๐ถ
We are complete opposites at this time of year, Nancy … another cold and windy day here … I’ll finish my poem for Coffee House Writers, then take Frankie for a walkie … ๐ถ๐โ๐
You ARE a survivor, Ivor! ๐
Brr! That lonesome old wind can be so cold! ๐ฅถI can feel the windy chilly cold in your photos and poem!
Perfect song choice/vid!
Sir Frankie looks like he is about to go airborne, with ears for wings! ๐
Keep bundling up on your walks, Ivor and Frankie!
Coop didn’t ever seem to mind the wind or snow…but, he was not too fond of a hard rain. Even with his raincoat on. ๐

Frankie doesnโt like the heavy rain either, nor do I!!!
Oh, that wind ๐จ was wild and we definitely had to keep our โpawsโ firmly planted on the groundโฆ as for Frankieโs ears, they twirl around like propellers in the wind ๐ถ๐, and I love taking those funny snap shots of him in the wind ๐ถ๐๐ถ๐๐
Thank you so much for accurate appraisal, David … except for the howling sound of the wind, the bleak solitude of the situation felt unusually hollow and quiet …
Little Frankie’s ears blowing in the wind! ๐ฅฐ

I’m still working on my poem … at least the title sounds ok, “Now Falls Into Then” … ๐๐

Ivor, this one feels like it carries a quiet strength. The scene is so stark, yet your presence in itโjust you and Frankieโfeels deeply grounded.
Much love,
David
