Today’s Test Flight

Today, we gave ourselves a ‘Test Flight’ to the Cafe to see if my wings had recovered, and pleasingly, we navigated the outing without any major incidents.

Today’s Test Flight

Flying solo above the trees
Fluttering through the Bon Voyage clouds

Zipping over the nearby You Yangs
Out into the Southern Aurora sky

Then, across the world’s deepest ocean
Toward my dream’s mystical horizon

This is how my poem looks on my Instagram Site (ivors20)

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  1. Woot woot! πŸ₯³ Terrific news, dear Ivor! It’s clear sailing from now on. You and Frankie look like two peas in a pod sitting there! I wish I lived closer; I’d love to dog-sit for Frankie while you’re in Canada! Woof woof! πŸΆπŸ€ŽπŸŒβœˆοΈπŸŒŠπŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦πŸ’™

    1. The legs are a bit wobbly, but I’ve got 5 days to clock up a few miles and regain some sort of fitness … and Frankie is so easy to look after, and my brother loves having 🐢😊 I’m really looking forward to my event today, there’s sure to lots of reminiscing among many lifelong friends πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜πŸŒπŸ˜€

      3. And now it’s behind you and a great trip is ahead of you! This week will fly by. Your cousins have to be just as excited to see you and get the adventure underway. I felt the same way when I was reunited with my cousins in Sicily. It’s an indescribable feeling, isn’t it. πŸ₯°βœˆοΈπŸŒŽ

      4. I hope I don’t cry as much as when I meet Philadelphia cousins back when I went to America 6 years ago …there were enough tears of joy to fill Corio Bay!! πŸ˜πŸŒπŸ’›
