My Legislator

My Legislator

Sun shines through the pines.
Wattlebirds in the wattletrees.
More crows than magpies.
Butterflies and dragonflies.
Rabbits digging for carrots.

Manuscripts under the eucalypts,
Writers lighting campfires.

Poetry — no need for a legislator.
Nature is my translator.

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

    1. Oh, thank you on both counts, Cindy … the photos an interesting hobby for me, and that last couplet captured my feelings about nature in a few words πŸ“–πŸ“˜πŸŒπŸ˜

  1. Such beautiful photos, poem, and song/vid, Ivor! Keep letting nature inspire you, teach you, guide you, commune with you…etc. πŸ™‚ We are so grateful because the poems you write are meaningful, comforting, thought-provoking, heart and soul touching, and helpful (ETC!) for those of us who are honored to read. πŸ™‚
(((HUGS))) ❀️❀️❀️ for you and for Frankie!!!
