Golden Bracelet

Golden Bracelet

This is not about a mystical sunset,
Nor the birds’ spiritual silhouettes.

I am searching for her golden bracelet –
Or perhaps,
I should be climbing her marble minaret,
Where time is trapped,
And then I could collapse
Into her celestial bassinet.

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  1. Oh, my gosh, Ivor! Your photos, your poem and the music choice are all so wonderful, so beautiful, so heart-touching! πŸ™‚
That gold you photograph, and speak of in your poem…brings warmth and peace AND leads to hope and rest. πŸ™‚ Sure does our minds, hearts, and souls good! πŸ™‚

    1. As I said to Derick, “I’ve had these stunning photos for a few weeks, and then I finally wrote a suitable poem”, and hopefully my words did justice to the beautiful photos, … thank you for golden words, Carolyn πŸŒžπŸ’›πŸ’›πŸ˜ŠπŸŒ–πŸ˜Ž

  2. I could have sword I commented on this yesterday- but since I see no comment here— Sometimes it seems so right to reside in the golden places where time is trapped- And I for one enjoy allowing myself to do so on occasion.
