An Old Plumber, An Ex-Carer, An Amateur Poet, Words From The Heart
The Sun’s Winter Glow
This morningβs winter sun momentarily slipped through the clouds just long enough to set the eucalyptus leaves shimmering.
The Sun’s Winter Glow
Mother Nature’s wryly smiling, silently proud there above the lingering dark clouds. The waning winter sun shyly glows, and its diffused light knows how to make the eucalyptus leaves sparkle during the season’s arctic cycle.
A stillness to sit with, as the day folds into the deeper quiet where winter light lingers.
G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Thank you so much my dear friend β¦ I did no blogging last night β¦ I attended my local footballβs club past players function, had an absolute blast π₯, but the old poet βenjoyedβ himself too much π», and the only cure was a good nights sleep ππ€π΄πππππΆ
Good for you! Celebrations like that do not come along very often so once in a while, you’re entitled to let loose and have some fun! A good night sleep is usually the cure all. ππΆππ€ππππ₯³
the sun in winter is, always, welcoming, bringing to the earth, that much needed, heat, even if it’s only for a few short moments of time, its presence is, very much, welcomed.

I appreciate the poetic license- but I see nothing that even remotely resembles the arctic in your photos! heheheh
