Singing Together

Hello dear readers, I am still browsing through some of my older poems, that I have  stashed away, and not been published by me/nor posted here on WordPress. And here’s another one of these personal love poems, from a time, when I had new lady in my life. I thought maybe it’s about time I presented these pieces from my archives. The relationship finished four years ago, so I thought that enough time has lapsed, for me to now show you, another side/story of my life……

Singing Together

Recalling the coincidence

The fate

Of meeting someone new

She’s a bright light

Fresh as the morning dew

Retelling a story

An eternal saga

Of Life’s ups and downs

She’e invigorated my lost senses

And softened my sad frowns

She’s rekindled my gentle soul

And released my deep inner fears

Together we smile, talking non-stop

Together we kiss, enjoying every drop

Together we touch, absorbing the aura

Together we embrace, singing every mantra

My Book Covers

This weekend the Photo Challenge, on Weekly Prompts is, Cover. Today I’m experimenting and trying something completely different for me. I will be attempting to produce a “Video Book Cover”…… For my readers that might not know, the third anniversary of Leonard Cohen’s passing, is on the 7th of November, and appropriately, I’m posting this article as a tribute to Leonard Cohen…. The Book Cover photos, are of the Leonard Cohen books I have in my collection here in my writers haven…..The video is short piece that I’ve created, that goes for 28 seconds, and to play the video click on the arrow in the bottom left of the frame. .. . …however despite the small duration, I am ecstatic with the final outcome of my Book –Cover

Below, I’m attaching a very recent music/video of Leonard Cohen’s brilliant poem, “Happens to The Heart”, his lyrics are superb and the visual effect of the video is definitely stunning……

Love Again

Hello dear readers, I’ve been browsing through some of my older poems, that have not been published/nor posted here on WordPress. And there’s a number of these personal love poems, from a time, when I had new lady in my life. I thought maybe it’s about time I presented these pieces from my archives. The relationship finished four years ago, so I thought that enough time has lapsed, for me to now show you, another side/story of my life……

Love Again

You gave me your mountain of love

You showed me the valley of passion

You gave me your river of happiness

You showed me your ocean of kindness

Who am I to deny you

Now, I cannot resist you

Now, my life is you

Now, I feel lost without you

You gave me your sunshine for living

You showed me the moonbeams warmth

You gave me your world of devotion

You showed me love in slow motion

After the hard rains

Now, is my time again

Now, I’m awake again

Now, I’ve found love again

Do You See What I See

Below: What I saw outside my bedroom window this morning

Below: Balyang Sanctuary, where I had lunch today

Below: On the way home tonight, I saw the sunset

The photos are blurry, but I was on the way home

See What There Is To See

Do you feel what I feel

Do you see what I see

Every day is real

Every dawn is a sea

I hear the rhythm beat

I hear birds singing

Every day is a treat

Every year, I’m winning

You won’t know this song

Read the lyrics

Cuddle a friend, and sing along

Dream, right or wrong, like the Eurythmics

Blue Plastic Tripe

The midweek word prompt on the site Weekly Prompts is Character. And yes I think “It’s Time”, us human’s showed some >> Character….

Blue Plastic Tripe

The sun’s filtered warmth

Opens my notebook

And a red wine

Enhances the imagination nook

This Cafe’s quietly humming

Enticing my visions into reality

As my heart beats out a rhyme

Listening to melodic rhythms

And I sing to myself, a worldly question

Have we the character, to repair our transgressions

A forest symphony’s chiming, ‘All my leaves are brown’

Touching a sensitive soul, one more time

Forcing my dancing feet, down to the sea line

Where I hear mother earth, singing the blues

And sad mermaids, are playing harps in tune

To the ancient whales, deep moaning sounds

” The ocean now covers me, in plastic tripe”

Are we hearing the lullaby, of his final night

Feet and Excuses

Hello dear readers, I’ve written two Haiku’s recently, and I’m going to present them here as one piece, I have a feeling they might like to dance together…..

Feet

Truly nature’s treat

Standing amongst forest trees

Earth’s caressing feet

Excuses

Life’s, not excuses

The word, does not have uses

Let nature’s feet dance

Hidden Stories

A few years ago, I was fortunate to have a girlfriend called Sue

This morning I was listening to this tune on YouTube

And I thought, isn’t life intriguing, how songs can trigger our memories

The happy and sad times, of many hidden stories

I’ve always been a respectful man, and in my mind, the secrets will stay

And I’ll continue on my way, with a smile in my heart, remembering the good days

The song by “Dirty Three”, featuring Warren Ellis on violin…… and Warren is the violinist for Nick Cave’s backing band “The Bad Seeds”…..enjoy….

Water-logged Boots

Yes, I am small in this overburdened world

But I flutter freely when unfurled

I could be a family picture collage

Or a tiny squirrel amongst the foliage

On his journey, of ups and downs

Collecting and storing his acorn crowns

The trick is to enjoy the ups

While the floodgates are shut

Sometimes, I did nearly drown

Other times, I floated upside down

During the many seasonal rains

I wondered, if I’d every swim again

So then, I pretended to write a biblical book

Ignorantly thinking no-one would ever look

Afterwards, I thought I could walk on water

Then my boots became water-logged

And if you need to walk a mile in my shoes

You’ll have to learn how to swim, and sing the blues

Our Last Stand

Walking barren pastures of sand

With only detergent hands

Old arms are empty of nature’s seeds

I only see, future investment greed

And history’s lessons, are hard to understand

When we’re taught, disrespect by corporate bands

Who only extinguish life, and fracture our lands

Instead of regenerating our planet’s, last stand
