Woof, Woof, Are You Listening (Written by Frankie)

Woof, Woof, Are You Listening (Written by Frankie)

Ah, there he is

On that silly old computer again!

“Woof, woof, stop!”

As I stomp my paw

On the keyboard

“Woof, woof

It’s time for our walkies”

Then he pretends not to hear me

“WOOF, WOOF”, I bark louder!

“Yes! Ok, as soon as I finish the next verse

I’ll get your lead and off we’ll go”

“Yeah

woof, woof

he heard me that time”

Throwback Friday, Fiery Pearls and an Ambient Eye

I wrote this six-line poem back in July 2022, and as is my way, today, I have slightly altered the wording.

“Since I don’t believe in anything
I can pretend about everything” … (anonymous)

Fiery Pearls and an Ambient Eye (Revised)

The stars are the universe’s fiery pearls

And when smoke falls into my eyes

Her leftover embers rekindle my heart

The silver moon is my world’s ambient eye

And when my mind falls out of focus

Her warrior radiance enlightens my soul

Shangri La, Volume 7. Grey Clouds Have Rainbows

FREE PDF COPY >>> Links Below

Hello, dear readers and followers, as you might know, I stopped producing my “Tullawalla Booklets” at # 31, because that was the house number of our family’s Tullawalla Homestead.
But the booklet formats are a superb way for me to catalogue the vast number of poems I produce and as the saying goes “I Am Turning Another Page”. Here I have begun a new series of poem booklets, called “Shangri La” which is the name of my little Villa, and is my piece of “earthly paradise, a retreat from the pressures of modern civilization”.
Incredibly, I now have “1686” Poems filed in these booklet formats!!
Click on >> Here.  for the link to your FREE: PDF Copy of “Shangri La, Volume 7. Grey Clouds Have Rainbows“

Grey Clouds Have Rainbows

The night is not always dark

You know

The moon has a bright side

The other side hides

in the Sun’s shadow

An icy pond’s reflection

Has the wrong image

Of whom was right

And grey clouds have rainbows

Knots, Twists, and Autumn Leaves

Knots, Twists, and Autumn Leaves

Knots
Hold
My water-logged boots together
While plodding
Along
My soggy pathway

Twists
Bulge
From my leafless branches
While slowly falling
Away
From my family tree

Autumn leaves
Cushion
My fractured soul
While hibernating
Within
My guardian’s cocoon

Jingle Jangle for My Easter Bonnet (Revised)

Another Throwback Easter poem from 4 years ago, was a scrappy piece about my attempt to go on an Easter trip.

Jingle Jangle for My Easter Bonnet (Revised)

My notebook has run out of ideas

There are pages of invisible words

And blue lines are leaping outside

Into my used quills recycle bin

I have old hand-knitted socks

Lining my holey pockets

And my threadbare purse

It is loosely tied to my Easter bonnet

How am I going to fly?

Without, high-priced wings

I’ve not even a jingle jangle

Of silver change

And my dream’s destination

Now, it seems out of range

But I don’t need to travel too far

To reach my Easter avatar

My Easter Poem Lands In Mainz

A Throwback to “Easter, 2020”

My Easter poem “An Old Book Closes, a New Door Opens”, has grown wings, and landed in Germany (Mainz), via a website platform calledCulture-Y >> https://www.culture-y.com/das-format/

CULTURE-Y is an initiative of the Mainz band Hanne Kah. “Now, at a time when we face restrictions in everyday life, we feel all the more that cohesion is the most important formula for living together. Therefore, we decided to show all the wonderful actions and projects that impress and motivate across generations.”

“With this initiative, we want to offer a platform for everything that is created “out there” in Mainz and the world so that it can move into your living room.”

“Everything should be possible on our portal. We think across generations and will unconditionally show everything that seems important and right to us. We will not be able to guarantee that every image is produced in high gloss, that technology always plays along. It remains handmade and that’s a good thing. We can already assure you one thing: We believe in our platform and would be very happy if you would like to be part of our community.”

“Show us your creativity and send us your contributions. Let’s make CULTURE-Y great!..”
