“Who Knows?” Said the Sun

Who Knows?” Said the Sun

t
he clouds appear to be
ascending up
or are they
descending down
“who knows?”
said the smiling Sun
or was that his frown

what is right?
what is wrong?
going up
or falling down
growing up
or losing your crown
slowing up
or dying on the ground

“who knows what’s next?”
said the setting Sun
“in your shady annex
full of loaded guns,
existing
remains complex”

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

    1. Oh, I hope not Beth … we have had an unusually very settled autumn … we are heading for 20 days in a row of “fine, sunny weather and 18’C “ … 😊😍🌏

  1. You’ve expressed this so well, Ivor! I think we all wonder…we all ponder those same questions.
Your photos, poem, song/vid choice trio is powerful and emotionally moving.
