G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

love this……..i’d like to think of you going on an amazing adventure!
Thanks, Ivor, for sharing the wonderful poem. I enjoyed the music too. I’m not a big country music fan, but there are exceptions, and I liked that song.
True Blue I think this stays with all Australians, the love of the country and grown in honesty. I hope you get to go on your travels. Let’s hope things start to sort themselves.
Excellent haiku, Ivor!
Even if we can’t go on GRAND traveling adventures just yet….for various reasons…we can go on adventures in our imagination, in writing, in reading, in memories, in music, on nature walks, in talks with friends, etc!!! π YAY!!! π
(((HUGS))) π
PS…I love Mr. Williamson’s voice!
Yeah.. John Williamson.. is a true blue Aussie singer…
Itβs hard to say when we can travel again.?
I’ll just have to keep my dreamy imagination going.

Exactly. The airlines canceled our flights for September. I suspect it will remain that way so alternate plans are being made.
