Above

I see a single sphere of blue

Sheltering my raptured canoe

Skewered by an earthly corkscrew


Here

I wait to be rescued

Then I ask the crew

“How long is the queue

beyond this canopy of blue?”


After

In the celestial sky with you

Every soul is united by blue

Everyone’s true skin is the same hue

We are all coloured blue

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

    1. Thank you kindly Carolyn … I thought my poem was very meaningful… and the photos turned out well … especially the one of Frankie, he poses perfectly and he knows he is getting photographed 🐶😍🌏🤗🎶💕💙💙💙

        Yes, Frankie sure does!
        Cooper is like a kid who gets tired of getting his photo taken. When he was young he’d pose…but the past few years when I’d hold my phone up to him, he’d turn his head or put his head down…like, “Mom! Not again!” HA!!! 😀 😛

Thank you Cheryl … Frankie is quite a photo poser … and the morning was so clear and beautifully blue … and while I was taking the photos I came up with the thought that we should all be Coloured blue 📘💙🌏 .. although it took me most of the day to get the wording right … I think my fanciful idea turned out ok 📘💙🌏

      2. Thank you …. I was worried my fanciful idea would be too hard to put into words that would make sense … 💙📘🌏 ….imagine everyone had the same colour skin “Blue” …. not too dark, not too light, but just right like a morning sky… 🌞💙
