I’ve had one of those yucky weeks, my computer has been moonstruck and running amok and producing guck. My “Taskbar” keeps flying south with the Ducks!! I’m feeling like an ice-puck all out of luck. So, I apologise for my moody unstuck poem of bushbuck …


Duck Muck




Sucking more air

Life sucks


Evading the sloppy duck muck

Dodging the dusty garbage truck 

Never having enough bucks

To fill the milk bucket

Left empty by bloodsucking

Schmucks

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  7. I don’t even have my site configured! Lol- it’s free and I have no clue if i want to pay for the business website as, there’s no tech support line!! My days suck too! Sorry my blogs are a mess, just like me!

  8. Oh, Ivor, I’m sorry to hear about your computer problems. How frustrating for you. 😢
    Have you activated a virus check?
    Have you spoken to your brother, does he have a solution?

    I liked your poem, it reflected your feelings so well! 😂

Thanks Sue … My brother will be down in 2 weeks … I’ll get by til then … my ‘File Explorer’ is in a disabled mode, but despite following the ‘instuctions’ to reactivate… the problem keeps reoccurring. … I need an expert …!!! …t’s quite frustrating to have the taskbar disappear, but I have learnt how to reinstate the Taskbar without shutting down and starting again … it’s a temporary measure and I’m limping along at the moment …

      1. I feel for you Ivor. It sounds like you may have a virus. May I suggest you try the following.

        Create a new user account in another name, maybe Frankie’s name 🙂 and temporarily use that account, you may find that things begin to work normally when using the second account.

        It could keep away frustrations until your brother arrives.
        I needed to create a second account when my computer became infected with a virus that I’d inadvertently downloaded.
        My computer wouldn’t let me open my files. Running the virus checker while logged in as a second user cleared the virus. 🙂

  9. Oh, yuck on a yucky week! 😦 So sorry to hear about all of this! Computer problems can be the worstest! 😦
    I hope it all gets fixed soon. Do you have someone who can help? I remember you’ve mentioned one of your brothers (brother #2) helping in the past. I hope he can help again.
