G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

It sounds like Cohen felt he was “sentenced” to life, and that he really was attempting to say “No” to it. Still the one word that sums life up for us is an affirmative “Yes!”
Oh I love your words so descriptive and tell telling Ivor. I hope you feel better soon and those feet hit the ground softly while Frankie runs circles around you my friend. 💕
Thank you kindly Cindy… it’s all part of the diabetes … I am yet to see the diabetes nurse .. my appointment is next, but I have started taking tablets and hopefully they should kick-in soon 😊🌏😍🐶
Please get your rest, Ivor. You are in our thoughts and prayers. You are loved.
I know Sir Frankie will keep a good watch on you. Taking one day at a time.
(((HUGS))) ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ 🙂
Yes, it has to be. Such a shock.
I understand why you feel this way. Take the time you need to adjust, adapt, move forward. 🙂
Some day you will look back on today and smile. Hang in there, Ivor! So many of us are rooting for you! ❤️
I remember how difficult we found it when trying to change my husband’s diet, it’s not easy for the patient.
He found it difficult to cut his sugar intake. He liked his beer and sweet stuff, but it was the hidden sugar in foods that often caught us out. Eventually, we got a handle on his diet and coupled with the tablets he began to feel less tired.
Rest up, Ivor and you’ll begin to feel better very soon. 🙂
Beautiful

At least you have family in the same boat so you’ll know what to expect and I’m sure they’ll support you.
