“May the wind always be at your back and the sun upon your face, and the winds of destiny carry you aloft to dance with the stars.” ~ George Jung
Wind and Light
I cannot perceive the speed of light,
but I can feel its energy –
gently touch my skin.
I cannot see today’s cold gusts,
but I can hear nature’s wind —
boldly sting my eyes.
Between light and wind,
I know who is the fastest.
But I wonder: who is the strongest?

A most interesting question, Ivor. I would say light as weβd die without it.

There has been strong winds for over a week and the light still keeps shining : night and day π

Look to the light, dear Ivor! I imagine it would look rather ominous without the light …. a bit like what we have here with gray skies, rain and strong winds. π¨

Fabulous posting about wind and light, Ivor…photos, quote, poem and music! π
I know wind can be so fast and so strong…but light is so vital to all of the living things on earth. π I’m glad that often wind and light work as a team for the benefit of the earth. π

Thank you very much for your lovely words, Carolyn … sorry I’m a bit slow replying. I’ve been busying doing some submissions, and after all of the submissions I’ve done over the years, I still get anxious about whether my words are good enough to submit … I know I shouldn’t be, but my nerves of expectancy are always there. ππππππππ

I know, itβs just my anxiety issues that hinder my logic β¦ anyhow, one of poems I submitted yesterday, has already been accepted and will be published in January πππ

Such a gentle thoughtful poem and beautiful pictures too! And Ivor, to answer your question, I would say itβs the birdπ
