G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

I know the feeling, my dear friend. This morning, I am achy and tired. I don’t think I’ll be getting much done today. π΄
And I hardly did any blogging β¦ the old soggy blotting has soaked all of my spare time β¦ maybe itβll all be reusable by the by morning time πππ
Fabulous image! π
Powerful poem! We can all relate…especially as we become “more well-seasoned” (older). π
Gorgeous music! Perfect for this cold Dec night! I listened to it twice. π
We must all pay attention to our bodies and rest as we can/when need be. Sometimes the night time doesn’t work for us…so we have to rest during the day time. π

Thank you for all of wonderful words, Carolyn “I’m never sure about my inky lines While I’m bumbling along through time And when my blotting paper is sodden My old rambling rhymes Can be inadvertently forgotten”

The nights are shorter
And my days are longer
But there’s still a final quarter
And I’m not getting any stronger
