G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

While walking outside, I saw this same moon. How amazing.
I learned this week that dragonflies are voracious mosquito eaters. One dragonfly can eat up to 100 mosquitoes in one day. I don’t know how the mosquitoes are by you- but we get them terrible in the early summer months.
A handsome and wise moon! Our moon last night was obscured by snow clouds which are now frosting the US like a giant sheet cake! Wonderfully delightful and charming poem, dear Ivor. βοΈ
So many conversations going on, around us, in nature every day! This is a good one! I love both the moon AND dragonflies! π

Oh, we have lots of mozzies here and I hate them. Because they love my freckle skin β¦ so Iβm a big pal of the dragonflies πππΆ

Mosquito in Italian is zanzara. Isn’t that just fun to say?!

Nature is a essential source of strength. Being an American is heartbreaking.
Hope you are well. Thanks for shining your light.
