Twilight’s Afterglow (a Haiku)

It’s wet and windy
But there in twilight’s cold sky
An afterglow winks

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

    1. I like using ‘w’s’ … I suppose it’s a childhood influence from our old family house name, “Tullawalla”, and the antique sign hangs up under my back verandah, Derrick…

    1. I’m in bed early … old and frustrated … my internet has lost connection, the technicians are working on it, but it’s already been down for 2 days 🥰🌏🤔

No such luck my friend, but on Sunday I’m with the Dome poetry group all day … our monthly meeting in the morning, a luncheon together , then down to the Drysdale Courthouse Museum for a our poetry recital afternoon…. maybe the computer might be working when I get back home in evening … 📖📘🌏🤗💕

      1. Yes, I’ll definitely be in my element, and knowing my situation one of my poet friends is kindly driving me to the event. Yeah … a totally worry free day 📖📘💙🌏

      1. Ah, Ivor, I am sorry you suffer in the cold! I am the same way with weather extremes. We are not “spring chickens” any more!

Hope you are enjoying your weekends. ❤️🐣 🐥
