An Old Plumber, An Ex-Carer, An Amateur Poet, Words From The Heart
Birds of a Feather (a Haiku)
A small moment in the morning sky… a flutter of colour, a whisper of calm, and a reminder of how lightly the world can move when we pause long enough to notice.
Birds of a Feather (a Haiku)
The black and white birds Fly happily together A wingspan apart
A quiet nod to harmony — where every feather, every colour, finds its place.
G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Wonderful to see your lovely source of inspiration visited you once again in the morning sky over beautiful Geelong! Thank you for this uplifting share, my dear friend. 🥰🎶🐦⬛🌏😎💙
Oh, when I’m out walking with Frankie I love taking lots of photos, which also helps distract my mind from the pain of walking, … I enjoy being with Frankie, I enjoy the cool morning air, but I’m afraid the process of walking is quite an arduous task these days, however I battle on, “if don’t use it you loose it “ or “no pain no gain” 🥰🌏🎶💕📖
I’m in the same boat, my dear Ivor, and often feel like I’ve lost both my rudder and my paddle! All we can do is try our best; no one can ask more than that. Here’s to living the golden years, my friend! 🍷🥰
Oh! So beautiful! So sweet! A brilliant look at the sky, and nature, in black and white. 🙂 A wonderful write, Ivor…’tis a joy to read! 🙂
