G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Tranquility is my chosen line —absolutely. Wonderful line, beautiful poem, Ivor. 🩵
Ah, in my draft the last did end with ‘divine’, but then I rethought things and changed the line into 2 lines, so it became a more interesting finale
“and out of the blue, nature’s shrine
peacefully realigns.” … 🥰🌏📖💙
“A sentinel perched on the edge of everything and in that one sweep of wing, the whole world stops its warring and breathes. Ivor, you’ve caught that moment where a crow becomes a prayer. The sky realigning through one bird’s grace. Beautiful. 💙
Thank you so much for your wonderfully thoughtful interpretation, and yes, that’s exactly the imagery I was trying to create … I think of birds as our sky’s guardians and observer’s of wayward ways , Khadija 🌏💙📘
OH! What gorgeous photos of the crow and the skies! 🙂
OH! Such a beautiful poem! It is a smile-bringer and a peace-giver! 🙂
OH! A fabulous song/music! 🙂
(((HUGS))), 💙🩵💙, and ☮️!!!
PS…Birds are so inspiring! Thank you for listening to them! 🙂

“nature’s shrine, peacefully realigns.” Sometimes life just takes charge again and settles back down. Love this idea, Ivor.

Nature gives me the ideas and I put them into words, Claudia … I suppose I’m trying to interpret the thoughts of nature’s scenarios 🥰🌏💙
