a moment of sky‑thinking that stayed with me.
A Golden Bowtie
Oh, to safely fly above
that peaceful bridge in the sky.
Like a worldwide dream —
a bowtie’s golden ribbon,
bandaging the stratosphere
together,
from here to Shanghai.
A quiet, drifting companion for the poem’s soft ascent.

Beautiful, Ivor. There is such a gentle sense of hope and freedom in this piece. I especially love the image of the golden ribbon stretching across the sky, connecting distant places as though there are no borders between us. The wattlebird and bridge complement that feeling wonderfully a peaceful dream of connection, unity, and possibility. A short poem with a wonderfully expansive spirit. 🌏✨🐦🌉
