Phenomenal Anomaly

Every new day’s

A spectacle

This morning

The spring sunshine

Extols

My every phenomenal stride

Every living moment’s

A miracle

This afternoon

I am going to follow the sun

To my friend’s funeral

And extol

His every phenomenal stride

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  1. sorry for your loss. It is a hard thing to lose a friend. I still feel sadness for my friend who died to young back in the mid 80s from a car accident. JT was his name. John Thomas. We worked together at Texas Instruments in Dallas. He was a good friend and a good person. I miss him dearly.

He will remain in your memories and in your heart. Friends Forever. 🫶💕
I hope he, and his life, was celebrated.

PS…That new Beatles song/vid is amazing. 🙂 I so enjoy watching it. But it gets me a bit teary-eyed for a number of reasons.
