My One Sock Theory

Some theories attempt to explain the mysteries of the universe. Others focus on more pressing questions, such as where all the missing socks have gone.

This light-hearted poetic response was inspired by a post by Khadija Shabbir on August 14th.

“My One Sock Theory”

All the single missing socks
are being siphoned off by AI
There is only one “I” in AI
and there are trillions
of AI guys zooming around;
so all the single “I” guys,
in that infinite AI world,
need a sock to wear,
for every stressed-out single Black “I”—
especially when stepping into
the cold, deep theories
about the mysterious Black-holes.

For now, the lone sock keeps its secrets. The evidence has been found. The mystery remains.

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.
